Futhi Mtoba

Futhi Mtoba is Chairman of Deloitte Southern Africa. She was the first black woman to be appointed as a partner by one of the "big four" accounting firms in South Africa; the first black woman to be appointed to the board; and the first black woman to be appointed as chairman of one of the "big four". In addition to serving on various high profile financial services advisory boards, Futhi is a member of the board of the United Nations Global Compact. She has been the recipient of many prestigious business awards since 2002, among them Businesswoman of the Year 2004 and the International Woman of the Year Award 2005 by the Organisation of Women in International Trade (OWIT) USA, making her the first woman from the African continent to receive this accolade.
